Kildare Expo 2015 – Huge success for businesses in the county.  Businesses from every town in Kildare showcased

The Inaugural Kildare Expo 2015 was heralded a huge success by Chief Executive of the Chamber Allan Shine.  “ Nine Multi Nationals were in attendance and we hosted 73 meetings between the buyers of the Multi Nationals and the 60 exhibitors.  Exhibitors were companies, all Kildare based that are in Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing.  The feedback from our Meet the buyers which included Intel, Kerry, Bord na Mona and Coca Cola was excellent.  I am extremely confident that these buyers will now see huge opportunities to buy in future from Kildare based companies.

Footfall at the expo exceeded our expectations, we had 462 businesses visit the expo and the support we received from Kildare LEO and Kildare County Council made a difference and was a great boost to the event”, said Shine

Kildare County Council hosted Procurement workshops at the expo which was attended by 47 Kildare based companies.  Also on show were several state bodies and exhibitors from Maynooth University. Allan Shine also said this morning”  Our continued excellent working relationship with Maynooth University, Kildare County Council and Kildare LEO has now ensured that this expo will be an annual event which has the potential of generating over €1million to the county .”

Kildare is awash with so many indigenous companies and this event made sure that we could highlight the best of what Kildare has to offer.  Companies who exhibited included MGS Technology, Voice Engineer Ireland, Labplan, Jungheinrich, Cunningham Covers and Moovmor Engineering.  Every town in Kildare was represented at the expo which saw Enda McNulty, renowned business strategist and motivational speaker inspire the packed conference centre.

Shine conclude by saying, “The Chamber which represents in excess of 350 businesses in the county has a very simple mantra – Protect, Maintain, Enhance and Support Business in Kildare.  This expo is now a firm fixture alongside the 100 events we host annually for business”
