Yesterday, (21st September) North Kildare Chamber hosted their Inaugural Captains of Industry golf outing in Carton House.  The Chamber has 36 corporate partners who enjoyed a day of networking and golf on the O’Meara course in Carton House.  The GUI Academy were on hand to provide the all-important golf lessons before industry leaders enjoyed a round of golf followed by an evening of high level networking.  The organisation provides in excess of 100 events per year and this particular one is now a firm fixture in the calendar.

Allan Shine, CEO of the Chamber said, “ It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the level of interaction between companies was infectious.  Networking is a crucial ingredient for business, the golf was nearly secondary and with an upturn in the economy, afternoons like this can only be of benefit”.

Next up for the Chamber is a business luncheon with the President of Maynooth University , Professor Philip Nolan.  The University is embarking on a huge expansion which will see 13,000 students enrol annually by 2020.
