Chamber welcome job announcement by Kildare Village
Allan Shine, CEO of North Kildare Chamber today welcomed the announcement of 380 new jobs for the retail sector with the announcement of expansion plans by chamber member Kildare Village.
Allan Shine said, “Today’s announcement will see the creation of 380 new jobs, 120 during the construction phase and over 1000 people will be employed in Kildare Village once the expansion is completed. The plans include 36 new boutiques, two restaurants and a Visitor Centre with enhanced hospitality services for guests, as well as 437 parking spaces. This is very welcomed by the Chamber and will be a welcome boost for employment in the county. Kildare Village is a great success story for Kildare, the year on year increase in visitors is a huge boost to the local economy. Over 2.3 million people visited the Village in 2013.
Shine also said “A new range of brands will now locate to Kildare Village and this news today reinforces the message that the economy is improving month by month, we have seen a huge increase in the level of interest in retail units across Kildare in recent months. “
