County Kildare Chamber today welcomed the latest figures published by IDA Ireland which show investments approved by IDA in the first six months of 2017 will lead to the creation of over 11,000 jobs. Allan Shine, CEO of the Chamber said, “This is very welcome news and encouraging especially with the uncertainty in relation to Brexit. In total 114 projects were won in the first six months of 2017, with life-sciences, technology and international financial services sectors performing especially well.
Shine continued by saying, Kildare is primed for foreign direct investment and we continue to engage with IDA Ireland on a regular basis. Our close proximity to Dublin, our excellent road and rail network coupled with high profile companies throughout the county and a young workforce makes Kildare the ideal location for existing and potential enterprise.
With budget 2018 only a few months away, we will be lobbying government to ensure that state agencies and our overseas networks are adequately resourced to ensure we continue to win a high level of investment.
