A high profile promotional campaign; “Choose Kildare” has been launched by Kildare County Council today 30th January 2017 at its full Council Meeting. This campaign highlights the many advantages County Kildare has to offer business.
The purpose of the “Choose Kildare” project is to highlight the County as a business location whether starting out, expanding or re-locating. The two minute long video features contributions from local business figures, Alan & Gary McCormack founders of Carve On Leather, Kevin O’Connor MD of Colourtrend and Malcolm Sheil, President & CEO of Kerry EMEA, as well as aerial shots of the locality.
Following the launch of the Video a dissemination and engagement process will be rolled out. During Quarter 1 of 2017 the Video will be promoted across social media using platforms such as Linkedin and Kildare County Council websites in addition it will be sent to the IDA, Enterprise Ireland, Connect Ireland & Diaspora Networks etc
Launching the video, Sonya Kavanagh, Director of Services, Economic Development, Enterprise & Corporate Services said: “As part of the overall strategy for economic development in the county, which is embedded in the Local Economic and Community Plan, we are committed to promoting County Kildare as an ideal location for investment, enterprise and knowledge creation, we will do this online, via our videos, our website and social media and via a range of promotional material. In addition this video provides an understanding of how Kildare County Council through the Local Enterprise Office serves as a first stop shop in providing supports and services for those looking to start, grow and develop a business in County Kildare “.
Speaking at the launch of the video, Mayor of Kildare County Council Cllr.Ivan Keatley said: “I very much welcome this initiative which showcases all that is good about County Kildare, our infrastructure, our amenities and our people. We need to work collectively to portray a positive image of our County and to assist in whatever way we can in an effort to attract additional Business to the area “.The Mayor added “This video should also be promoted through the relevant job creating agencies.”
The Chief Executive of Kildare County Council, Mr. Peter Carey, said the video “not only highlights the 1st class quality of our existing businesses that have already made Kildare their home but also acts to extend the warmest of welcomes to new businesses that may be looking at Kildare for the first time. It showcases the very best that County Kildare has to offer. We have all the necessary infrastructure needed to nurture economic development and incentivise job creation and this new promotional video captures the unique selling points outlining why County Kildare is an excellent place to live, work, visit and do business”.
