County Kildare Chamber this morning welcomed the job announcement from Hewlett Packard Enterprises for 150 new jobs for their locations in Kildare and Galway. Allan Shine, CEO of the Chamber said “The announcement is very welcome, Hewlett Packard Enterprises are a key stakeholder in Co Kildare, these new hi–tech jobs in the area of research and development, cybersecurity, software development and cloud consulting demonstrate that companies in the region can rely on our young talented workforce along with our excellent location. It strengthens our position as the leading region for foreign direct investment in Ireland. The new jobs further demonstrate that remote working will be a key component of new jobs coming out of Covid 19 as the hires will be able to work from any part of the country. The acceleration of the National Broadband Plan is critical now for businesses”. The Co Kildare Chamber supports over 380 companies employing over 39,000 employees.
