Leaders in Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure came together this week (Tuesday 9th September) in Kildare Village to learn from the most successful tourist destination in Ireland – Guinness Storehouse and its MD Paul Carty.   North Kildare Chamber organised the breakfast briefing which saw businesses leaders from The K Club, Punchestown Racecourse, Castletown House, Palmerstown House and Irish National Stud attend the briefing.  Paul Carty enthralled the packed restaurant in Kildare Village with interesting facts about the Guinness Storehouse. Paul explained how Kildare Businesses can develop working relationships with the Guinness Storehouse.

Allan Shine, CEO of North Kildare Chamber said, “ I was delighted to see so many of our members attend the breakfast briefing, the key leaders in Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure in Kildare attended the event and the feedback has been immense.  Hospitality is extremely important to business in Kildare and is one of the largest employer sectors in the county.  Paul Carty spoke to our members about the importance of customer satisfaction, employee retention and how our members can drive more footfall into their businesses.   Paul was overwhelmed with the calibre of people in the room and the Chamber are now focusing our efforts in exploring how we can further help this industry going forward”.  Allan Shine concluded by saying “ Our hospitality committee are now also starting to develop a bespoke training module for Hotel, Bars and Restaurants in the county.  The planned courses will further upskill hospitality staff and management,”
