“Kildare has grown by more than 70 percent in the last 20 years and is now home to 5% of Ireland’s total population. More than one in two of Kildare residents live in the ten largest towns. Over 40% of the total workforce work outside the county. Kildare now has the third youngest population in the state”
The consultation phase of the Kildare Local Economic and Community Plan 2016 – 2021 has now commenced. We encourage every business to take part in this short survey to help the LCDC with the process http://kildare.ie/countycouncil/lecpsurveyform/
A detailed baseline report has been prepared in conjunction with Maynooth University to inform the preparation of the plan. View the baseline report HERE
The plan will use the findings of this report, the survey and other targeted consultation to help set out the objectives and actions for economic and community development in the county over the next 6 years.
