Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated top performance within a sales and/or membership recruitment environment.  The role of the Intern is a desk-based, team oriented, self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing sales environment, demonstrate problem-solving leadership and leverage their entrepreneurial drive to target and educate companies as to why to join the Chamber.

Role responsibilities:

To directly generate new members in SME category of membership
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Keeping an accurate and up to date pipeline
Prospect new members via various lead generation initiatives such as cold calling, social media, referrals and networking
Develop solid sales pitch strategies that optimize the market potential
Preparation and maintenance of sales support materials
To represent the chamber at external SME focussed events
As per Chamber Strategy evolution exact responsibilities may vary.

Experience required

Proven direct sales and cold calling experience
Proven results against targets
Proven record of creating and managing sales initiatives
Desirable personal skills:

Strong interpersonal, influencing and networking skills
Creative, innovative and strategic thinking
Proficient IT skills
Self-motivated who can work at all levels
