Ireland’s top Motorsport website has been nominated and subsequently shortlisted in two categories at the prestigious Irish Sport Industry Awards.
Already a two time winner at the Irish Blog Awards, Motorsport.ie has grown from strength to strength since being set up by Leo Nulty in 2012. The site is shortlisted for “Digital Engagement Community of The Year” as well as “Sporting Innovation of The Year Award” for the introduction of their digital “Irish Motorsport TV Channel” in 2017.
In 2016, Motorsport.ie introduced podcasts, which were hugely popular and in 2017, they made the big step of introducing a digital TV Channel, Irish Motorsport TV. They covered the Leinster Trophy meeting in Mondello Park with the coverage reaching an audience in excess of 130,000.
Leo Nulty. Owner/Editor Motorsport.ie “Obviously, I am delighted with these nominations, and even more so to be shortlisted, alongside some massive sports and names. We have put a lot of work into the site in the past number of years and it has been hugely successful. I couldn’t do it without the fantastic team I have behind me – Dave Hall, Michael Chester, Richard Kearney and Aaron McElroy deserve most of the credit for this!”
Leo Nulty is one of the top authorities on Motorsport in Ireland. A former successful competitor, he has been the commentator at Mondello Park for almost 20 years, voiced and presented
Motorsport programmes on all the major TV channels, and he even ran the commercial side of Mondello Park for a number of years.
These days, he runs his own busy Events and Promotions Agency, Leo Nulty Promotions, based in Naas, county Kildare. Leo continues to commentate at various race circuits and produces and voices the Irish Motorsport TV coverage, which he started in 2017. He is also the Irish Correspondent for a number of UK Motorsport publications, and performs MC at events such as Runway Live and the RIAC Classic Car Show in the RDS.
