Naas Solicitor Liam Moloney has been the first Irish Lawyer ever elected to the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). The Board of Governors is the ruling body of the organisation with only six Governors representing Continents outside of North America. His election took place at the organization’s recent annual convention in Boston which was attended by over 3,000 attendees.

As the World’s largest Trial Bar, with over 23,000 members worldwide, AAJ works internationally to improve and develop individual countries legal procedures and systems to ensure proper compensation for victims of accidents caused by the negligence of others.

Commenting on his election Liam Moloney said today “I am honoured to have been elected to the Board of Governors of AAJ as one of two Governors for the UK and Ireland. The AAJ continues to fight for a fair civil justice system for victims of accidents, medical errors and also to maintain safety and accountability for companies that harm consumers by selling dangerously defective products”

He added “with the globalisation of travel and communications the number of cross border legal claims that are now being pursued here in Ireland are increasing. With enhanced protection under EU Law many Irish residents can now take their claims for compensation to the Irish Courts which can mean faster resolution of their cases and the delivery of just compensation as compared to other EU Countries”

Liam Moloney is the Principal of Moloney Solicitors with offices in Naas and Dublin. He has been practicing personal injury law for over two decades and specialises in Personal Injury claims and Medical Mal-practice. The firm also has an international law Department and handles accidents cases for Irish citizens injured abroad. He is also the current Co-Chair of the International Practice Section of AAJ.
