Paddy Kelly – Managing Director, Tegral

May ‘First Friday’ Meeting in Athy

The next Athy Enterprise Network* ‘First Friday’ meeting will be held this Friday on the 6th May 2016 in the Clanard Court Hotel.

This month’s event will hear a presentation by Paddy Kelly, the Managing Director of Tegral Ltd, Athy’s largest employer. Tegral has made a significant contribution to the Irish building industry and has been associated with Athy for 80 years since it first started manufacturing building products in 1936. Tegral is also associated with the Etex Group, an international organisation of 102 industrial companies spanning across 43 countries that employs 17,500 people globally. This gives access to the best technical research available globally and the financial strength to continue investment in Tegral’s Irish operation.

Attendees can expect to hear about Tegral’s past, present and future operations in South Kildare with a particular focus on the company’s principles of sustainability, construction industry training, safety management and environmental awareness.

The ‘First Friday’ meetings are held in Board Room of the Clanard Court Hotel. Refreshments and sandwiches are provided from 12.45 pm with the presentation commencing at 1 pm sharp and concluding before 2 pm. Pre-booking is advisable to guarantee a place.

*One of the main recommendations in the Athy Regeneration Plan commissioned by the Athy Enterprise Network and published late last year was that an ongoing enterprise awareness programme should be organised as a monthly structured event to encourage Local Enterprise and Commerce in the town. The Athy Enterprise Network is made up of representatives of the Athy Lions Club, Athy Enterprise Company, Kildare County Council and Kildare Leader Partnership. The Athy Enterprise Network now hosts the monthly networking meetings in association with North Kildare Chamber who facilitate similar events elsewhere in the county.
