We’re extremely proud to announce that we’ve raised over €20,000 for CMRF Crumlin, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and the National Children’s Research Centre, in this years’ annual Cycle for Crumlin. The event in conjunction with Kilcullen Cycling Club, took place this weekend in glorious sunshine with over 358 cyclists participating through the 50km and 100km cycle route starting and finishing at Murphy Surveys HQ in Kilcullen.

“We’ve been completely overwhelmed with the kind generosity of all those that took part in our Cycle for Crumlin,” commented Niall Murphy, Director, Murphy Surveys. “From those donning their lycra to test their physical ability on the cycle route, to the many volunteers and marshals donating their time to help organise the event. Not to mention the crowds of supporters to cheer on the cyclists along the route. Thank you to all for making this event so successful and enjoyable. Without your support we would not have been able to smash the record and raise an astounding €20,000 for the children’s hospital. ”

“The event, now in its 5th year has grown beyond our wildest expectations with double the number of registrations from last year and in excess of €60,000 raised for the hospital to date. We’re proud that 100% of the event registration fee goes directly to CMRF Crumlin, an achievement made possible by the support of Murphy Surveys and Kilcullen Cycling Club, and the kind generosity of our sponsors, Apache Pizza, Briqo Catering, Comerford Brothers Bakery, Fulfil Protein Bars and Tipperary Water who supplied the fantastic catering on the day and keeping our cyclists fed and watered. And thank you to Fallons of Kicullen, Lawlors Hotel, 3 Mobile, K-Leisure Naas, Dunnes Stores, No.1 Fitness Kilcullen, Kildare Flowers and Burke’s Pharmacy Kilcullen for donating prizes for the prize draw.”

“The funds raised will go directly to CMRF Crumlin, the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the National Children’s Research Centre. CMRF Crumlin strives to improve the quality of life for sick children and ensures that every patient that passes through its doors receives the best treatments. It’s a cause dear to our heart and we are proud to be able to support and aid the lives of sick children today and for future generations.”
