The Chamber’s AGM was held this week with Vivian Cummins elected for a second term in office. In his address to members he said “I am delighted to be elected for a second term as President of North Kildare Chamber, and especially at such an exciting time for businesses and the wider community in Kildare.
While there are challenges facing business in the years ahead, there are also huge opportunities, and a hunger among people for positive change to happen and for progress to be made on the opportunities that undoubtedly exist. With continued expansions throughout the county and further job creation, Kildare is well positioned to attract further FDI in the years ahead and continue to develop the existing crucial SME sector
Our excellent working relationship with all key stakeholders in the county will continue and the services we provide our members which has been enhanced in the past year will be further enhanced in the year to come. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new staff members Jennifer Forster and Alison Redmond and along with Allan Shine, the Chamber is well positioned to continue its work into the future.
During my term as President, I will endeavour to increase membership of our Chamber, further increase the training events/seminars/workshops and networking opportunities that we provide and engage with all key stakeholders in the county. The organisation has seen huge growth in recent years and I encourage our membership to utilise the services we offer and I am delighted to serve the membership as President for the next 12 months”
