Teresa McColgan is a partner in PwC’s Private Business Services team providing tax and legal services to a range of privately owned Irish companies and high net worth individuals. She advises many prgvately owned companies and their owners on the tax implications of the business and personal financial issues facing them, including business structuring, property transactions, employee taxation and incentivisation, Revenue audits and personal and business succession issues. Teresa is both an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and holds the Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (UK).

Ruairi Cosgrave leads PwC’s Entity Governance & Compliance Department and has experience in managing the provision of company secretarial services to both private and public companies.  Ruairí is a qualified Chartered Secretary and sits on the Irish Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). In addition, Ruairí chairs the Irish ICSA Regulatory Sub-committee which provides the ICSA’s input on the direction of Irish legislation and provides regular updates to members on relevant upcoming changes in legislation.  Ruairí supports companies in the mplementation of corporate governance structures and advises Directors on their fiduciary duties.  Ruairí’s practical approach ensures that areas are identified where compliance requirements may be streamlined and savings can be made through the electronic filing of documentation and the reduction of the paperwork burden faced by Directors.  Ruairí is excellently positioned to advise on the impact the 2014 Companies Act will have on Irish companies and how best to manage the upcoming changes in Irish legislation.
