SPLATE owner Bernie Everard recorded record sales on her recent particiaption in the US largest Celtic giftware, The Ireland Show, held in New York.

The tradeshow ran for 4 days but took a full week between build up and breakdown and was logistically a huge challenge.

“The buyers reaction to my range of contemporary slate  gift products was fantastic, I have already tripled my original show target”

Bernie together with Kildare artist Lynda Cruise have developed a unique range of hand cut natural slate wall hangings, depicting Irish heritage and culture.

Some of the new customers for Splate include the leading Celtic Irish stores across the US and an online catalogue company selling celtic products to the 40 million Americans with Irish heritage.

Splate products are now available in some of the most popular tourist and heritage sites across Ireland and amost recently in the new Guiness Store in T2, Dublin Airport.

“I have had some interesting inquiries to develop a range for the mainstream US gifts market and have appointed an agent to represent the brand in the Mid West and on the East coast.

Exciting times ahead for one of the Chambers true entrepreneurs. Watch this space!
