One of the world’s leading golf bibles, Golf Digest USA has announced that The K Club has been awarded a prestigious Editor’s Choice Award in the category, ‘Best Golf Resorts In Great Britain and Ireland 2017’. The K Club was the only property in Ireland to win this award, the results of which were announced today (13th of April) in the May issue of Golf Digest USA. The programme was launched last year with the mission of identifying ‘The Best Things in Golf’, with an emphasis on lifestyle properties, products and services.
This latest award is a welcome addition to the many accolades The K Club has won over the last few years which include CNN Top Ten Golf Resort of The Year, Best Golf Resort awarded by The Golfers Guide to Ireland 2016 and the 2016 Golf Resort of the Year, awarded by the Irish Golf Tour Operators Association. Last year The European Tour named Rory McIlroy’s shot on the 18th hole of the Palmer designed, Ryder Cup Course as its ‘Shot of the Year’ for 2016. The shot, which was beamed all around the world was taken by the world number 2 golfer at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at which tournament host, Rory McIlroy emerged victorious.
