Naas’s landmark hotel, The Osprey will host a health festival next week, entitled ‘Wellness Week’. The week will focus on all things health related and offer free fitness classes, nutrition advice and complimentary health product samples to the public.

Wellness Week will run from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th September to promote a fit and healthy lifestyle and educate attendees on how to better their fitness levels, introduce them to fitness classes they may have not tried before, and instruct people on how to maximize their health levels in conjunction with the Osprey gym which is currently taking on new members.

There is something for everyone of all fitness levels and interests in the program. The activities will start off with a nutrition talk on Monday 11th with complimentary fruit and smoothies for attendees. On Tuesday 12th there will be a sports supplements demo educating those interested on what they should take to increase their health and fitness levels. On Wednesday 13th there will be complimentary spa demos using Irish-made Voya spa products with free samples for guests.

A free evening yoga class for fitness enthusiasts will run on Thursday from 8pm in order to introduce people to the benefits of yoga. Children are invited to a water safety class on Saturday, September 16th between 1 and 2pm and on Sunday adults can enjoy a complimentary Pilates class at 10.15am.

The Osprey gym was completely revamped in the earlier part of this year and the property is currently undergoing a renovation program which has also seen the addition of a brand new restaurant, Herald & Devoy and the redesign of the hotel lobby. Next year will see the spa facility being completely upgraded with works expected to be completed in early spring 2018.

The General Manager of the Osprey Hotel, Peter Brennan said, “Wellness Week has garnered a lot of interest from locals and members.  There’s no such thing as being overeducated or over healthy when it comes to wellness. We are encouraging people to pop in and look at the facilities here and invite them to try something they may not have done before like Pilates or yoga for example. The Osprey continues to improve and this year has seen the refurb of the gym, several bedrooms and the introduction of our new restaurant.”

The Osprey complex includes the four-star Osprey Hotel, Soul Spa, Osprey Conference Centre, Fitness & Leisure and Centre Stage, the entertainment theatre.   The hotel incorporates 108 bedrooms including classic rooms, executive rooms, junior suites, duplex suites and two penthouse suites with balconies. There is also a ballroom, brasserie, bistro, bar, and extensive outdoor courtyard.  The style and design of the building is very contemporary; a giant cylindrical tower with a curved copper roof stands at the heart of the hotel, creating the very hub of the building and housing an impressive double switch back stairs.  The interiors are bright, light filled spaces and the central foyer is wrapped in glass which overlooks a dramatic water feature to the front of the building.

The Osprey is owned by the PREM Group,  an Irish owned and managed hospitality company which also has several properties in Ireland and over 20 years’ experience in delivering first class hospitality.   Membership to Osprey Leisure Club @ The Osprey is now open.  Log on to www.ospreyleisureclub.ie  for more details or call (045) 881333.
