North Kildare Chamber Inaugural Women IN Business Charity Lunch a great success

 

The first ever Kildare Women IN Business Charity Luncheon took place on Friday 16th May in Palmerstown House in Naas.  70 businesses were at the lunch with Jessica Harrington- Ireland leading female horse trainer as guest speaker.  MC was none other than Tracy Piggott from RTE.  The event saw businesses from across Kildare come together to support the Charity Lunch and listen to one of the most successful trainers in Ireland.   Jessica had the room captivated with stories from her recent successes in Cheltenham and Punchestown.  The event which was sold out a month in advance saw a wide mix of business in attendance – members of the Chamber included Kildare Village, Punchestown Racecourse and the Kerry Group.  Tracy Piggott excelled as MC for the event which raised €3690 for Charity.  Jessica talked about the role women play in business and an event such as this hosted by the Chamber is crucial to furthering the success that women play in business nowadays.

The Chamber hosts monthly network evenings for women in business and with a sell-out lunch such as this, the role  that women play in business is becoming more evident day by day.  Allan Shine, CEO of North Kildare Chamber said “ This was our first women in business charity lunch, the room was full of positivity and the feedback from the event was been excellent.  The upturn in the economy is very evident and the lunch which sold out week ago will now become an annual fixture in our calendar”.
